I have owned and operated a small business in the area since 2005, having moved here from the shore of Lake Ontario. I hail from Oakville, Bronte more specifically, an area that has been a hotbed of community issues since I was born. Much of my pertinent experience comes from attending town meetings in the region of Halton. I was involved in “Market Value Assessment” and received a standing ovation from 600 people for a speech I gave on behalf of my aging grandparents.
It was at my grandparents family grocery business in Bronte (Oakville), that I devoted my time to preserving the village feel in our neighborhood. I learned first and foremost the value of treating everyone who comes through the door with respect and consideration. All my customer service experience has been learned through watching my grandfather's treatment of his customers and his genuine interest in people.
I have two adult daughters, Amie and Alex and one teenage daughter Olivia.
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and currently own a year-round small business in the village of Coldwater.
Bill Hill’s Ice Cream Shoppe (Coldwater) has been a philanthropic project to save a key riverside location and historic building by Colin Bidmead and myself. “For the enjoyment of everyone”. It is dedicated to the memory of my grandparents, Bill and Donna Hill (Bronte), and old store awnings everywhere!
